Links (also known as backlinks, inbound links or hyperlinks), are the lifeblood of any website. They are the way search engines discover Websites. Organic links are vitally important to search engines, because links replicate human judgement. Our on-page content tells the search engines what our site is about. However, links from other websites tell the search engines whether our site is considered important and relevant or not. It doesn’t matter how great your site looks, how amazing your content, or how fantastic the products or services you offer on the site.

Links make a website findable. If no one is linking to your site, the search engines won’t know it exists. If the search engines don’t know your site exists, it’s as good as invisible. Unless you want to start investing in horribly expensive offline and online campaigns, people are not going to be able to find your site. Links are therefore crucial in order for your Website to be found.

Having relevant backlinks from trustworthy and reputable websites lends to your site’s overall credibility and is used in the search engine’s algorithms (formula that measures a Web page’s overall relevancy to the search query) to determine whether you can be considered trustworthy as a relevant source of information and an “expert” in your field. The search engines want to give their users the best results possible because if they give the user what they want, users come back and continue to use the search engine.

RELEVANCE

Relevance is the degree to which the content of the web pages returned in a search matches the user’s query intention and terms. The relevance of a document increases if the terms or phrase queried by the user matches the specific theme of a particular web page.

You can think of relevance as the first step to being “in the game.” If you are not relevant to a query, the search engine does not consider you for inclusion in the search results for that query.To measure these factors, search engines perform document analysis (including semantic analysis of concepts across documents) and link analysis.

Two critical points regarding links and link building:

Link building is fundamental to SEO. Without link building, your site will fail.

Link building should be never stop. It is an ongoing part of marketing your website on the World Wide Web.

The concept of using links as a way to measure a site’s importance was first made popular by Google with the implementation of its PageRank algorithm. In the simplest terms, each link to a Web page is a vote for that page, and the page with the most votes wins. The key to this concept is the notion that links represent an “editorial endorsement” of a web page. Search engines rely heavily on editorial votes to determine the importance of a particular Web page.

For example, let’s assume that site X is an authoritative and well established site with a PageRank of 10. Let’s say we have 3 new sites: Site A, B, and C, and each one of these sites are in the same industry or niche as site X. First, each of these sites are given an innate, but tiny amount of PageRank by Google. Google now needs a way to decide who comes out on top, and this is where links come in. Links cast the deciding vote. As mentioned above, every link to a Web page is a vote for that page, and pages can increase their PageRank by receiving “quality” links from other pages.

So, in our example, let’s assume that site X only links to Site A, and doesn’t link to any of the other sites. When site X links to site A, it passes all of its “passable” PageRank to site A. Since site X is linking only to site A, this is a powerful endorsement of site A from Site X, and Google will conclude that it must be more important than the others, so site A wins. Google will rank site A over and above sites B and C.

On the other hand, let’s assume that site X links to each of the sites – A, B, and C. When this happens, it means that the passable PageRank gets divided among all of the Web pages receiving links. In this situation, Site A no longer receives all of Site X’s passable PageRank (or votes), and all things being equal, the search engines will rank sites A, B, and C equally.

Although this is an oversimplification of the concept of PageRank, this is how the algorithm fundamentally works. This also explains why the links you should focus on getting links from trusted and well established sites with a lot of domain authority and very few outbound links (or outbound links that are nofollowed).

A money website is the website you intend on ranking i.e. the one that actually makes money. This can also refer to a client’s website.

Backlinks are links that are directed towards your website. Also knows as Inbound links (IBL’s). The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website. When search engines calculate the relevance of a site to a keyword, they consider the number of QUALITY inbound links to that site.

Citation Flow is a number of predicting how influential a URL might be based on how many sites link to it. Trust Flow is a number predicting how trustworthy a page is based on how trustworthy sites tend to link to trustworthy neighbors.

Backlinks in general are links from other websites pointing towards your site. They can be another domain, blog or any specific article or other form of content. There are two different types of backlinks namely, external and internal backlinks with each type having their own importance and benefits.

You see, you have to develop the habit of listening to God. He may give you direction you have never had before. Like what? God wants you under the influence of His Word. You’re knowing God for yourself and the importance of being led by the Spirit of God. Many people won’t like the new you, but you’re not living to please people, you’re living to please God.

You don’t need people approval when you have God’s approval! You want the praise of God more than the praise of people. Quit worrying about what everyone thinks and do what God has put in your heart.

God will put a new testimony in your mouth! You may think there is a lot wrong with you, but there is also a lot right with you. God is continually shaping and molding into the person He wants you to be. Stop focusing on what you can’t do, and start focusing on what God can do.

Serve God and worship Him and continue to seek His will. How? You have to establish a passionate relationship with God’s Word. Believe His Word, trust His Word, study His Word, thank Him for His Word. But always remember the devil will do everything he possibly can to lure you away from God. The devil does not want you to grow in the knowledge of King Jesus.

Many people never seriously read the Bible! But you need to be a student of God’s Word and doer of God’s ways. Be a Christian that reads scripture and prays. The Holy Spirit won’t adjust to you, you must adjust to Him! Use your voice to worship Him and lift up the name of Jesus! Now, raise your hands and say, “I live to please God, more and more!”

What is the challenge we face? I sometimes find that time spent at home can be the busiest time, especially in the times we live in. Imagine someone working from home, home-schooling children, and sometimes even doing a side hustle. Imagine also the full-time home-based entrepreneur. How do they manage to do all they need to do in a day?. We are living in a time when many entrepreneurs and even company employees have adopted work- at – home culture. This comes with its challenges as the lines become blurred between home and work. These blurred lines and constraints on the limited resource called time result in over-worked, under-rested, burnt-out individuals. Whilst good time management has been encouraged and indeed, embraced in the workplace, I believe more needs to be done in changing the mindset for the elusive work-life balance to be achieved.

What are the tools at our disposal? To manage time effectively at home, there are many interventions one can employ including setting goals for the day, prioritizing wisely, setting a time limit for every task, organizing oneself, and instituting the discipline of appointments. Yes, an appointment at home! We can spend time pontificating on the pros and cons of each intervention, however, I believe we need to focus on appointments and see how this can powerfully change the course of one’s day regardless of whether it’s a workday or weekend. Life is busy as it is without any intrusions. The question is how do you handle the one who announces that they are at the gate. These can be friends, neighbors, a salesman of some product you do not even need. I am not promoting regimentation here but rather a culture of filling your day with what’s important. Everything that we succeed at is because we carefully plan and execute it. I am a firm believer that you cannot manage time if you do not manage yourself thus I implore you to incorporate planning and appointments into your repertoire. I am not talking about something I do not do. I have to achieve many things in a day therefore I set appointments with my work, others, and myself.

Could scheduling appointments and keeping them on the home front help us save time and prioritize? Whereas we have established that it is a normal business practice to set appointments and keep them, we need to abandon the liberal open-door policy of allowing all and sundry to have access to us as and when they please on the home front. Please understand where I am coming from. We each have greatness within us but for us to achieve it we need to culture great habits. Employing the use of appointments at home and seeing only those people you had agreed to see removes non-essential encounters especially during the most productive hours. I know this will vary with culture, geographical region, or even level of affluence, whether you live in a low density or high-density residential area, but doesn’t negate the need to be organized and effective. Controlling access determines how organized you are and how well you will work and rest when the time for scheduled rest comes.

What do we need to do differently? We need to be disciplined and diligent, learn to say no, now is not a good time, let’s make an appointment for next week. What are the benefits of this approach? You are not always fire-fighting to meet deadlines, You are not always tired because you have not taken time out to rest. You have set aside enough time to spend with your loved ones or a loved one. If you are a busy person, I am sure you appreciate what I am saying. Whether it’s time to work uninterrupted, family time, or “me-time”, it takes some kind of order to enjoy it.

I am not saying that those that come unannounced are bad people. No, not at all, they probably are people you enjoy spending time with. Nevertheless, there must be prior communication so that you can attend to your visitor(s) when it is convenient for both you and them. It can be quite disrupting and a whole day can just pass by without achieving anything that you had planned to do.

As we grow older we begin to appreciate that rest and recovery need to be scheduled. The fact that I am relaxing doesn’t mean that I don’t have anything to do. One therefore cannot assume that just because you are at home you are available. Maybe you have scheduled that time to rest. That is important. You need to make an appointment with yourself, spouses need to also set aside time for each other. Parents need to schedule a time to spend with their children. When you have some sort of order in your life you determine who sees you and who you see. It also means that your relationships will be healthy and that makes you a happier person.

In conclusion, I believe that the work-life balance can be achieved. There are many tools at our disposal just like it is in the workplace.I believe we could do more and be happier if we are disciplined enough to make only the commitments we can keep.I am certain that setting appointments and keeping them at home help us save time and prioritize.

1) Conspiracy theories: For some reasons, some prefer to believe unfounded, opinions, and accept them, instead of facts. It began with denials, transformed to accusations, and created harmful resistance. Is there anyone, who has not witnessed or experienced the loss of someone close? While, everyone is entitled to an opinion of their own, they are not, to their own set of facts. It is one thing if your actions only harmed you, but quite – another, when it puts others,at – risk!

2) Politics: Why has this become political, like so many, apparently, common sense, issues, have? There is a huge difference between a viable solution,and well – considered, plan, as opposed to blaming and complaining, denials, and stubbornness!

3) Data and science matter: Mike Bloomberg likes to say, “In God We Trust. All others, bring data,.” History shows, it takes a science – based, plan, endorsed and supported by public health, medical, and scientific personnel and experts, to create a meaningful, fact – based, efforts.

4) Mandate resistance: Although we have seen public health mandates, in the past, it seems we are experiencing the most polarized nation, in recent memory! Just because one doesn’t agree, does not mean, he knows more than the experts!

Either, we proceed, in a more unified manner, or we prolong the horrors. Wake up, America, before many others, lose this battle! It’s up to, each of us!

1) Interest rates: We have experienced a prolonged period of historically – low – interest rates. This has created easy money, because the cost of borrowing is so low. Both individuals and corporations have benefited, at least, in the immediate- term, permitting home buyers to purchase more house, because their monthly charges, are low, due to low mortgage rates. Corporate and government bonds, and banks, have paid low returns. It has stemmed, inflation, and created a rise in home prices, we haven’t witnessed, in recent memory. The Federal Reserve Bank has signaled they will be ending this propping – up, and will also raise rates, probably three times, in 2022. What do you think that will cause.

2) Auto loans, consumer loans, borrowing: The auto industry has been, significantly, impacted by supply chain challenges. When rates rise, auto loans and leases, will be more costly.

3) THis pattern began after the Tax Reform legislation, passed at the end of 2017, which created the initial, new, trillion dollars deficits

4) Government spending, caused by the financial suffering and challenges, because of shut downs, etc, because of the pandemic, created trillions more in debt. Unfortunately, debt must be eventually addressed.

5) Perception and attitude: The past couple of years,apparently, created a public perception, plus many fears, with a crippling economic impact.

Either, we begin to plan, effectively, and with common sense and an open – mind, many will be at – risk. Wake up, America, and demand better leadership, service and representation.
